Job Description

The Program Coordinator Senior, Youth Entrepreneurship Engagement will support in planning, coordinating, facilitating and reviewing the activities and operations of the grant-funded school programs within the J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute (Edson E+I).

This is a grant-funded position and is contingent on future grant funding.

Working Environment

  • Work duties are performed at ASU SkySong (Scottsdale, AZ) and various event/program locations.

  • Constantly detects and operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position.

  • Domestic travel to various program locations may be required.

  • May require a flexible working schedule in order to accommodate projects and initiatives.

  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

  • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.

Flexible Work Options:

  • Alternative work schedules can include staggered start and stop times.

  • Hybrid work is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular work week at their primary ASU work location. Dean or vice president-level approval is required.

  • Full remote work is spending every workday at a site other than assigned ASU work location. This arrangement granted when the criteria in the flexible work arrangement policy are met. Executive vice president-level approval is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Essential Duties

Strategic (10%)

  • Forge and maintain powerful relationships with external partners including program delivery partners, school administration, classroom educators and others.

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal staff and faculty across the university to engage the broader ASU community in youth entrepreneurship programs.

Programmatic (80%)

  • Support school stakeholders through program implementation in Verizon Innovative Learning Lab schools.

  • Support school stakeholder engagement through the planning and implementation of the program support model. Create, contribute to, and facilitate opportunities for stakeholder learning and collaboration, including but not limited to: workshops, learning communities, webinars and conferences using a range of synchronous and asynchronous modalities (virtually and in person). Serve as a point of contact for VIL (Verizon Innovative Learning) Lab schools. Support school stakeholders in the planning and execution of public-facing events including showcases, ribbon cutting, etc. Collect and track program data, performance and evaluation and document qualitative and quantitative program features for reporting and development purposes.

  • Synthesize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data trends to create iterative changes within programs and understand the scope and scale of programmatic impact within various communities.

  • Contribute to remediation and improvement plans for schools requiring additional support. Support process and procedure development for program scaling.

  • Coordinate virtual and in-person site visit logistics and planning in adherence with a site visit schedule and school availability.

  • Travel to in-state and out-of-state schools to facilitate learning opportunities as part of the program support model.

  • Engage in professional development opportunities and available trainings to stay current on technology and teaching/learning trends.

  • Support the Edson E+I Youth Entrepreneurship team with best practices in technology research and implementation.

  • Communicate and act as a representative of ASU with key stakeholders and partners.

Other (10%)

  • Support other ASU or community initiatives that align with the goals and mission of Edson E+I.

  • Represent Edson E+I and/or the Youth Entrepreneurship team and serve on various department, unit, and university committees as requested.

  • Other specialty projects within Edson E+I.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$46,618 - $52,000; per year, DOE
