Department: Behavioral Health & Wellness Program : Prevention & Early Intervention (PEI) Status : Regular Full Time- Exempt Annual Salary : $70,000-$75,000 Location : Casa Nuestra Schedule : General program hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Candidate must also be available to work up to 8 p.m. at least two evenings per week, as well as weekends, as needed, to meet the various needs of the program. Prevention and Early Intervention Program SBCS' early prevention and intervention program – known as Dinosaur School – is a free program for children and parents designed to strengthen a child's social-emotional skills and provide a strong foundation for their academic success. The social, emotional, and academic capabilities of all PreK through third grade students will be nurtured through the Incredible Years evidence-based curriculum, which includes parent support groups and student small groups.

Responsibilities: The Program Coordinator, under the supervision of the Program Director, and Department Director, is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Family Community Partnership component of the PEI contract. Other responsibilities include ensuring that program staff remain faithful to the Incredible Years model, as well as supporting efforts to ensure that all staff complete timely, accurate documentation and data collection. Services will be in keeping with the agency goals, objectives, mission, and style provided within a team framework.

Program Coordinator is responsible for working with the team in developing team goals and objectives and in meeting those goals and objectives. The Program Coordinator performs the role and duties of a supervisor for the team. Duties: Hire, train and supervise staff performing program services, develop positive teamwork environment and provide ongoing supervision including evaluations.

Participate and facilitate team meetings, SBCS presentations/meetings, trainings, individual supervision, and clinical group supervision. Facilitates team and individual problem solving and recognize achievements. Attend & actively participate in Leadership Team, agency meetings & other committee meetings as assigned.

Provide guidance and support to team members and serve as a link to other teams and to the Program Manager. Assist staff with electronic data collection and cleaning. Collaborate with Program Director on scheduling of staff and programming.

Assist in implementation of the PEI program procedures, guidelines and policy. Assist in organizing and facilitating program outreach presentations in the community and schools. Knowledge of and ability to implement Incredible Years (IY) curriculum for children with challenging behaviors and their parents.

Ability to educate, teach and train Incredible Years (IY) curriculum to program specialists and ensure that they adhere to program principles. Collaborate with the CVCC regarding training and support needs of the Promotores. Oversee and implement the Program Advisory Group Scheduling of program activities and events in the community and schools Adhere to agency and County client confidentiality, HIPAA, and mandated reporting policies.

Participate in agency, school district/CVCC, and County required trainings and activities. As a mandated reporter, being able to report any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the relevant authorities as required by law. Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related degree, required. Master's degree in social work, psychology or related degree with current BBS registration as AMFT, ASW, or Associate LPCC, preferred. Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working with children, youth, and families required; experience should preferably have been in a community based or neighborhood service organization.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Must be able to read and write in Spanish and English Previous supervisory/coordinator experience preferred. Must have the ability to teach problem solving skills.

Must possess initiative, ability to set goals, and prioritize. Must be computer literate. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven experience, comfort and confidence with public speaking. Ability to work with a diverse population, possess cultural sensitivity, and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients. Conditions of Employment Employment may be conditioned upon satisfactory completion of certain background clearances which may include a Department of Justice criminal background check requiring my fingerprints (Live Scan), screening through the National Sex Offender Public Website, drug test, tuberculosis (TB) test, and such additional clearances as may be required under the program.

Candidate is required to have reliable transportation; therefore, the candidate must successfully complete a motor history check. Candidate must also possess and maintain a current valid California driver's license and valid auto insurance policy. (Approximately 10% of the time.) PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Mentally and emotionally: Ability to work under deadlines, various projects and dealing with clients in crisis and difficult situations.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift. Moves throughout the building. Moves, raises, or lowers (includes upward pulling) an object or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Transports an object, from 20 to 50 lbs. across the facility, for various needs.

Ability to exert force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force. Ability to exert force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking) Ascending or descending stairs and ladders when applicable.

Body agility is emphasized. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when ascending, descending, traversing. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with objects or office machinery. Communicating: Expressing or exchanging ideas. Communicating is important for those activities in which workers must impart information to clients or to the public, and in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately, or quickly.
