The Student Program Coordinator is the point person for all things related to student interactions with the Center for Teaching, Learning & Research, from fellowship applicants and summer research assistants to tutors, tutees, and Center support staff. The Program Coordinator is the chief liaison to students needing assistance and is the primary support behind student hiring and student application processes through the CTLR.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $23.66 - $29.58 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
a. Publicizing fellowship and undergraduate research funding opportunities as well as completed awards and projects
b. Overseeing completion of application dossiers for fellowship competitions and undergraduate research funding
c. Preparing materials and managing interviews and logistics for selection committee meetings
d. Monitoring the email accounts related to fellowships and undergraduate research
e. Managing the summer research assistant hiring process and logistics for summer research support events as well as serving as liaison to departments involved in summer research programs
Maintains a consistent, welcoming presence for students who come to the CTLR for assistance, assesses their needs, and gets them connected to the appropriate support
Recruits, hires, and manages a small group of student support staff for the CTLR
Processes the forms required to hire 100+ tutors for all CTLR tutor assistance programs
Collects and monitors data for analysis related to student employment and fellowship/undergraduate research endeavors
Assists with the planning and execution of Center-related events
