The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator Quality/Compliance in the Medical Staff Office at MD Anderson Cancer Center is to work with the Medical Staff leadership and Committee Chairs in the planning and development of the Committees of the Medical Staff as well as planning and development of the policies and procedures surrounding regulatory compliance with managed care, Joint Commission and CMS requirements. The position will be responsible for participating and facilitating presentations to Clinical Departments and Senior Leadership.
Oversees and serves as a liaison between all parties concerned with compliance. This involves gathering, analyzing data on compliance, and providing findings in both written and oral form to departments and leadership. Participates in ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborates with departmental leadership to ensure policies and procedures are maintained and receive the required updates and review.
Manages and oversees the quality review processes for the director. This includes development of audit reports and review of relevant findings. Oversees and coordinates the reporting to the leadership team to ensure timely identification of deficiencies.
Collaborates with executives, staff and clinical departments to enhance program outcomes as the liaison for the Director of Medical Staff & Credentialing Services and promotes relationships with external stakeholders.
Assists the Director of Medical Staff & Credentialing Services with collaboration Clinical Department Leadership, and Executives in the development and ongoing review of clinical privileges to ensure ongoing accreditation readiness.
Serves as departmental office manager through maintenance of calendars, emergency contact lists and plan; keys; long distance codes; business cards; signage; fire warden (back-up); space administrator; inventory administrator; CEMS administrator; coordinates departmental purchasing service requisitions and equipment maintenance.

Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's degree.
Required: Three years project/program coordination experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.
Preferred: Quality review position or medical staff office setting, with demonstrated proficiency and experience with accreditation in addition to demonstrated proficiency in communication, organization and team collaboration.
Preferred Certification: CPCS or CPMSM
