Program Coordinator Nursing Quality & Magnet Hudson Valley Hospital - Full time Days

This is a dual role with responsibilities of both Nursing Quality and the Magnet Program.

As the Program Coordinator of Nursing Quality, you will assist the Director of Nursing Quality while directing activities assigned to clinical nursing service of quality and patient safety, performance improvement, research and evidence-based practice, and risk management to ensure quality of patient care complies with regulatory requirements and established standards of care. Develops quality and patient safety goals in alignment with NYP's strategic initiatives. Responsible for all data and analytics with nursing, data entry into required national databases, and develops scorecards/dashboards for internal leaders.

Also, use your Magnet Program knowledge and nursing experience to provide support with the overall planning, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing compliance with the American Nurse Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program at the corporate level. Assist with appropriate analysis and development of action plans toward achieving and sustaining an environment of nursing excellence. Contribute to strategic initiatives through timely data management, analysis, and presentation for driving actionable outcomes, and perform special projects as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field if already holds BSN degree. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in nursing

  • ANCC approved certification in area of specialty

  • Previous experience in data management, graphs, outcome performance

  • Advanced Excel Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Current NYS RN Licensure

  • Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience and progressive leadership experience in nursing

  • Experience in Magnet designation and redesignation writing
