The Ascent Program Coordinator will provide clinical and administrative supervision to the Ascent team. This position monitors fidelity to the FEP (First Episode Psychosis) program expectations. Provides clinical assessment and engagement with consumers regularly. Coordinates wrap-around client care with a multi-disciplinary team. This position serves as a liaison between the Office of Behavioral Health and Jefferson Center. Also connects with other Ascent programs across the state.

Essential Duties:

  • Plan individual supervision, group supervisions and consultations with clinician and multi-disciplinary team.

  • Approve all treatment plans and monitor Avatar charts for adherence to being strength based to support resiliency, that cultural factors have been assessed and that those influences are part of the treatment planning with the client, and that treatment goal/objective are measurable for all clinicians that are being supervised.

  • Monitor Jefferson Center benchmark expectations and documentation standards and address productivity barriers with clinicians in a timely manner as directed.

  • Create grant reports as needed and monitor program fidelity. Produces timely updates as required by the State.

  • Ensures that all appropriate data is gathered and logged to ensure compliance with audits.

  • Participates in supervision with the Manager as scheduled, by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases and utilizes a problem-solving approach as well as feedback.

  • Help team to engage consumers and families in the treatment process and goal setting and to identify risk factors including lethality.

  • Attends mandatory in-services, compliance with individualized training plan if required.

  • Attends required meetings at the discretion of the State. Appropriately represents Jefferson Center's mission and values.

Interpersonal/Customer Service:

  • Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.

  • Maintains effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public.

  • Effectively responds to client/consumer needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions, timely response to phone calls, email and other requests.

  • Works cooperatively with other community agencies, as appropriate, and in agreement with supervisor. Volunteers to work on Center committees and/or task forces such as the CYLC subcommittees and Juvenile Justice committees.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Conferred Master's degree (from an accredited University/College) in psychology, social work, or related field required.

  • License (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, licensed psychologist or an unlicensed psychologist) required.

  • Skills in family-based treatment, cognitive behavioral approaches, behavior therapies, behavioral parent training, trauma therapy, motivational interviewing, in-home treatment and substance use therapies preferred.

  • CAC III or LAC preferred.

  • Experience preferred in clinical supervision of behavioral health staff and performance management.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to provide sound, supportive clinical supervision to behavioral health staff.

  • Must have the ability to manage service delivery and quality outcomes.

  • Good computer skills such as proficiency utilizing e-mail, data entry into an electronic records system, and word processing.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills and good organizational skills.

Salary Grade 15 - $66,900 to $85,100*

Additional Salary Information*:

  • All salaries at Jefferson Center are calculated based on years of total relevant experience.*
  • The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
  • This position qualifies for a limited time grant funded bonus of $1000 paid on the one month anniversary!*

Additional Bonus Information*:

  • Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week*
  • Must work a minimum of 20 hours/week to be eligible for bonus*
  • Current Jefferson Center employees not eligible for sign on bonus*
