DUTIES

In addition to all duties in Program Coordinator II, Program Coordinator III will perfonn these duties:

  • Under supervision of Planning Council Support Manager, will be the lead team member responsible for the coordination of work projects of the Planning Council Support Unit.

  • Planning Council Support: leads the planning and support services provision to the Boston EMA Ryan White CARE Act Planning Council, including: research, dissemination of information, leadership, and skill building. Ideal candidate has an in-depth

understanding of the service system for and demographics of HIV-affected communities, and the ability to establish rapport and develop strong working relationships with all Council members.

  • Develops, implements and manages all projects and/or initiatives for Planning Council Support.

  • Represents the Commission to Boston EMA Planning Council and its committees, meets with Council leadership to develop agendas and timelines, helps ensure that leadership goals and HRSA requirements are met, provides the Council with guidance and innovative approaches, coordinates educational presentations, and provides any necessary administrative assistance.

  • Responsible for and oversees the collection and synthesis of data and information for the Council, conducts funding stream analysis and needs assessment, drafting of proposals and other reports for both HRSA and the Council.

  • Conducts outreach and public relations as the lead con:imunity liaison in ensuring that all Council members are aware of relevant events and workshops, overseeing member nominating process and Council member retention.

  • Manages the development and maintenance of the Council web page.

  • Manages the coordination of Council trainings related to HIV/ AIDS, community planning, leadership development and healthcare policy.

  • Supervises the Council Laptop Program and member orientation.

  • Evaluates projects or initiatives to determine effectiveness and to recommend changes/improvements. Performs other duties as required.

  • Working to help BPHC advance as an antiracist organization by meeting or exceeding the standards set by the BPHC Anti-Racism Policy.

  • Promote health equity, inclusion and diversity within the BPHC, department and community.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the role of public health in addressing racism, the social determinants of health, and inequities in health outcomes as well as strategies to advance racial justice and health equity.
