Responsible for conducting research data projects and data analyses for the Department of Correction in accordance with accepted research methods, data collection and report writing; respond to information requests by generating computer lists and statistics utilizing software including Tableau Dashboard Technology, SQL, TOAD, Excel and/or SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) and preparing reports and dashboards. Data auditing and good organizational skills are also an integral part of the work as well as handling a variety of responsibilities simultaneously.
Knowledge of criminal justice, social and data sciences or a related field a plus. Ability to follow directions, work independently and in a team setting as well as work under time pressures.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class 3 Motor Vehicle Operator's license may be required.
This is a Civil Service position. Please note that salaries for union positions are determined according to the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreement.

The agency shall consider any incidents of sexual harassment in determining whether to hire anyone who may have contact with offenders or residents.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
I. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
II. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
