Job Description:

Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Greaux Healthy initiative.

The program coordinator will provide administrative support and program coordination to a collection of programs included within the Greaux Healthy initiative. The program coordinator will support the management of goals and objectives of the Greaux Healthy department through the development of partnership agreements, program monitoring, marketing, budget monitoring, and progress reporting.

Major Responsibilities

  • Initiate agreements with partners, consultants, or external organizations to facilitate implementation of identified strategies for achieving deliverables. Work directly with program managers and community action project recipients to ensure timely achievement of deliverables and associated payment.

  • Assist in the development and management of program tracking systems for the overall program management for all programs and specialty areas. Track status of projects. Identify problems and formulate plans to resolve them accordingly.

  • Write and edit reports, presentations, meeting materials, or other deliverables for multiple audiences, with oversight from leadership.

  • Coordinate and prepare quarterly and annual progress reports for internal and external distribution.

  • Support budget tracking and reporting.

  • Collaborate with Pennington Biomedical laboratories and partners external to Pennington Biomedical.

  • Supports strategic planning, operational planning, performance accountability, and other management initiatives for overall program administration.

  • Support program deliverables, including but not limited to, conferences, seminars, meetings, summits, trainings, provision of technical assistance, provision of professional development events, etc.

  • Provide administrative support for staff in relation to all internal and external professional duties/responsibilities.

  • Assist with conference and meeting planning, including travel arrangements for project staff. Ensure program staff availability for necessary training and meetings.

  • Execute procurement activities for department, including but not limited to purchasing and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional office setting.

  • Sensitivity to confidential matters; a high degree of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Highly organized with a proven ability to provide extreme attention to detail and meet deadlines.

  • High degree of professionalism, sensitivity, and integrity.

  • Exemplary time management skills and judgment.

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple deadlines and competing demands.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

  • Proficient in the use of Adobe and Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications (all qualifications listed above as well as)

  • Ability to develop partnerships and effectively market programs.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience in program evaluation or quality improvement.
