Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate with Apis Services is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Full-time Program Coordinator of Residential Group Home territory in Central & Southern New Jersey.+ signing bonus $1000 / Mileage Reimbursement

The Program Coordinator will provide on-site direct supervision of managers and direct support staff in behavioral health care services to people with Developmental Disabilities in residential Care.

Provides oversight to home operations and performs duties in the areas of: operational administration, home management, therapeutic intervention, teaching skills, documentation, Individual Habilitation Plan and/or Treatment Plan development. Responsible for ensuring daily structure and coverage to the residence, which includes supervision and assistance with living skills, personal care needs, case management, auditing medication, transportation service, crisis management, recreational and social activities.

The Program Coordinator communicates all significant behavioral changes in behavior level and notable incidents to the designated supervisory personnel. The Program Coordinator acts as liaison and advocates for community resources. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and adhering to all safety standards, Federal and State regulations and corporate policies. Ensure that services are rendered according to Advancing Opportunities mission and ethical standards.

The Program Coordinator is required to cooperate with all licensing staff in any inspection or investigation. Performs additional duties as deemed necessary by supervisor. The position also is responsible for regional growth in program expansion and activities related to those goals.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Excellent judgment, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities, families, co-workers, staff, supervisors, funding sources, and other social service agency personnel;

  • Physical ability to fulfill job requirements;

  • The ability to supervise and/or assist consumers of the Residential program;

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license

  • Travel throughout Central and Southern NJ to group homes on a weekly basis (mileage reimbursement) - 11 Group Homes in total

  • 3 years Group Home Managerial Experience

  • Licensing and State Inspection Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Consent and clear State & Federal Criminal Background Checks;

  • Drug Screen; Pre-Employment Physical & PPD;

  • Complete all orientation & pre-service training as required
