PathPoint is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to lead our Employment Services team in Chatsworth, CA. Our Employment Services provide training and support to adults with developmental disabilities, enabling them to find and maintain successful and meaningful employment. We're looking for an enthusiastic and organized team leader who has prior experience working with people with disabilities. Our ideal candidate is a model of leadership, professionalism, and teamwork.

The Program Coordinator ensures the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Employment Services program. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of direct support professionals, including hiring, training, assigning duties, and performance evaluation. Meet with staff regularly address any issues and concerns and to develop creative and proactive supports for persons served in the program.

  • Work on securing contracts by meeting with prospective employers, evaluating the work site, determining feasibility and performing task analyses.

  • Ensure that time studies are conducted in compliance with set timelines and all legal requirements.

  • Lead monthly staff meetings.

  • Document hours of service provided to each individual and prepare monthly billing for the program.

  • Monitor contract compliance to ensure that statements of work are followed and the quality of work meets employer standards.

  • Serve as a liaison between employers, funding agencies, families, service providers, government agencies, and PathPoint.

Provide direct support when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field is strongly preferred.

  • 2+ years working with individuals with disabilities is required.

  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Must pass Live Scan DOJ fingerprint background check, TB screening and basic health screening.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with at least 5 years driving history, a clean driving record, and use of a vehicle with current registration and insurance.

  • Strong communication and public relations skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, email, and Internet.

Compensation and Benefits: $18.00 per hour. PathPoint is seeking a part-time Job Coach to join our Supported Employment team in Chatsworth, CA. As a Job Coach, you will provide instruction, support, and supervision to adults with mild to moderate disabilities inside and outside the workplace. Our ideal candidate is interested in disability awareness-building, job adaptations, and providing social support. This part-time position is for 20 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule--we can work around your scheduling needs! What you'll do: * Accompany individuals to various work sites, observe their abilities, and identify any areas for improvement. Provide feedback and assistance to increase productivity and encourage positive work behavior. * Coach and counsel individuals on workplace issues/concerns, and advocate for them when needed. * Assist individuals in completing work-related paperwork, such as time cards, time off requests, tax forms, and benefits enrollment. * Maintain good relationships with employers and workplace supervisors, and act as liaison between employers, workplace supervisors, and individuals. * Assist in developing and implementing an individualized plan for coaching participants to work more independently, with the eventual goal of complete self-sufficiency. * Actively participate in meetings and discussions regarding individual's progress. * Maintain daily logs and reports. What we're looking for: * High school diploma or GED is required. BA/BS in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field is highly desired. * Prior experience supporting or instructing individuals with disabilities is preferred. * Valid driver's license with at least 5 years driving history, a satisfactory driving record, and use of a vehicle with current registration and insurance is required! * Must pass Live Scan DOJ fingerprint background check, TB screening and basic health screening. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, social workers, employers, and others in a positive and constructive manner. * Effective and professional verbal and written communication. * Optimistic attitude and ability to give encouraging verbal feedback regularly. * Strong computer skills, including MS Office, email, and Internet. Compensation and Benefits: $13.50-$14.00 per hour + mileage reimbursement.
