PathPoint, a leader in providing support services that empower people with disabilities, mental illness, and disadvantages to be valued members of our community, is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to lead our Employment Services team in Chatsworth, CA. Our Employment Services provide training and support to adults with developmental disabilities, enabling them to find and maintain successful and meaningful employment. We're looking for an enthusiastic and organized team leader who has prior experience working with people with disabilities. Our ideal candidate is a model of leadership, professionalism, and teamwork.

The Program Coordinator ensures the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Employment Services program. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of direct support professionals, including hiring, training, assigning duties, and performance evaluation. Meet with staff regularly address any issues and concerns and to develop creative and proactive supports for persons served in the program.

  • Work on securing contracts by meeting with prospective employers, evaluating the work site, determining feasibility and performing task analyses.

  • Ensure that time studies are conducted in compliance with set timelines and all legal requirements.

  • Lead monthly staff meetings.

  • Document hours of service provided to each individual and prepare monthly billing for the program.

  • Monitor contract compliance to ensure that statements of work are followed and the quality of work meets employer standards.

  • Serve as a liaison between employers, funding agencies, families, service providers, government agencies, and PathPoint.

  • Provide direct support when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field is preferred.

  • 2+ years working with individuals with disabilities is required.

  • Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

  • Must pass Live Scan DOJ fingerprint background check, TB screening and basic health screening.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with at least 5 years driving history, a clean driving record, and use of a vehicle with current registration and insurance.

  • Strong communication and public relations skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, email, and Internet.

Compensation and Benefits: $18.00 per hour. In this role, you will ensure the quality and effectiveness of the supported employment and Project SEARCH programs, which provide on-the-job training and support to adults with disabilities. Adjusts work schedules and staffing levels to ensure that organization goals are met efficiently. * Monitors, documents, and reports on the performance of the assigned departments and on progress toward established objectives. * Keeps informed regarding both internal and external issues that affect the day to day operations of the assigned departments, including employer and funder relations. * Develops and implements procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the departments. * Manages operating expenses and capital expenditures within the approved budget. * Actively participates as a member of the LA division's management team. * Provides direct coverage/coaching support as-needed. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is required * 4+ years' experience working with individuals with disabilities * 2+ years' experience supervising; experience with remote supervision is a plus! * Must pass pre-employment Live Scan DOJ fingerprint background check, TB screening and health screening. * Must have a valid driver's license with at least 5 years driving history, a satisfactory driving record, and regular use of a vehicle with current registration and insurance. Compensation and Benefit Package: $22-$25 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.
