Job Summary
The CCERC Program Coordinator is responsible for identifying pediatric education and performance improvement needs through collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager, Base Hospital Coordinator, Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse, Emergency Department Management and Injury the Prevention Educator. Creates and delivers pertinent education within CHOC as well as to prehospital providers and community emergency departments.
Pay Range
Minimum $54.49 Midpoint $72.19 Maximum $89.90
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
Required: Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Registered Nurse. With at least two (2) years of experience in Pediatric Emergency Nursing within the last five (5) years.
Preferred: For RNs working at CCERC, one year of pediatric ED experience is preferred.

Ability to perform work according to CHOC policies and procedures, professional standards of care, and applicable laws; demonstrate flexibility and creativity in response to unexpected changes in workload/staffing; ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.
Preferred: Bilingual
Licensure
CA (RN) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Basic Life Support (BLS); and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Emergency Ped Nursing Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Advanced Trauma Course Nursing (ATCH) and Crisis Management (CCM) - required within six (6) months of hire or transfer. National Certification or MICN Authorization
Orange County Emergency Medical System (OCEMS) to be obtained within 2 years of hire.
