Job Overview

The Department of Dermatology and the Department of Biostatistics, Health Informatics and Data Sciences (BHIDS) is seeking a full-time program coordinator to support medical students in Dermatology and graduate students in Biostatistics to support the student life cycle including admissions, matriculation, and graduation.

Essential Functions

  • Develop program objectives in collaboration with Education Directors and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.

  • Act as liaison to current and prospective students.

  • Provide financial and administrative support for program initiatives.

  • Develop, administer, and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires.

  • Compile statistics and prepare reports.

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants.

  • Design and conduct seminars, classes, workshop, or programs.

  • Interact with staff, faculty, external agencies, and other university departments.

  • May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.

  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff, including input on performance evaluations, performance improvement actions, approval of time off, etc.

  • Perform related duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written communication skills.

  • Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Database management, professionalism, ability to multi-task, efficiency, creativity, organization, prioritization, problem solving, collaboration, program design, and project management.

  • Knowledge of University of Cincinnati Registrar and Graduate School policies.

  • Experience using University of Cincinnati student information system Catalyst.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
