This position provides project management support to the CHAMPS Innovation, Impact, and Engagement across a variety of programmatic functions. The position works in collaboration with functional area staff and subject matter experts to plan and coordinate projects in the following areas:

  • Data to Action activities across the CHAMPS Network intended to ensure that CHAMPS data and findings are used by stakeholders to inform public health strategies, policies, programs, and interventions

  • External Communications

  • Partnerships & Fundraising

  • Publications & Scientific Presentations

  • Ethics

  • Special Projects & Events

Duties include:

  • With Innovation, Impact, and Engagement lead and staff, define and document priorities for each functional area listed above

  • Support staff to develop work plans with timelines and milestones for priority activities

  • Monitor implementation of work plans and priority activities

  • Proactively communicate project needs and status to team and stakeholders

  • Plan and facilitate team and work group meetings, document and follow up on action items

  • Develop team updates, documentation, reports, presentations and other written materials for internal and external audiences

  • Support cross-team communication and coordination with representatives of teams across the Program Office

  • Support team relationships with collaborators at CHAMPS sites and partner organizations

  • Support engagement with external partners and stakeholders

  • Support the development and management of budgets for select activities

  • Support programmatic onboarding and orientation of new staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in public health, international development, business, or related field, or equivalent experience in public health, project management, or related field

  • Project management certification, skills and/or work experience, including experience with project management software and tools

  • Superior organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated success working in teams

  • Commitment to personal and professional growth

  • Respect for diversity

Engagement Financial Advisors provide engagement management knowledge for the entire project management team(s) by assisting with initiating and controlling organization and logistical aspects of projects. Work You'll Do As an EFAM Program mentee, you will be paired with students interested in Deloitte Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) Practice with a Deloitte EFA professional. Throughout this program, your Deloitte professional will act as your guide as you navigate various aspects of Deloitte and the EFA practice. This program will give you the opportunity to: * Build a relationship with a Deloitte Consulting EFA professional * Learn about Deloitte's inclusive culture * Explore professional opportunities with Deloitte's EFA Practice * Gain advice on your future career and prepare yourself for your college recruitment experience * The program begins October 2019 and runs through the end of the school year (April 2020) The Team Our Engagement Financial Advisor team, part of Deloitte Services LLP, helps clients define what they need and how it can be delivered. We work with clients to define their projects' scope in as much detail as possible using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. We provide realistic cost estimates that account for projects' phases and activities, people, materials, hardware, and software and produce the best- and worst-case estimates using leading-edge project and client management software to keep clients' projects on track and on cost. Qualifications Required: * Sophomore standing in a in a full-time academic program in one of these related majors: Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Business Management with a target graduation date between December 2021 and June 2022 * Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2) * Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles * Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills * Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team * Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Ability to "think outside the box" while identifying problems and developing creative solutions How You'll Grow As an EFAMP Mentee, your time spent with Deloitte EFA's will provide you with education, experience, and exposure to opportunities that will help you build career. You'll be enrolled in a 1-year program in which you will participate in calls and/or meetings with Deloitte mentors about various topics, to begin your exploration of Deloitte and specifically, Engagement Financial Advisor Practice. You will also build your network by engaging with other Deloitte professionals and students through in-person events and virtual connections. Upon completion of the program, you will have the option to continue into junior and senior year as an informal mentor to future participants.
