Preferred Qualifications Position Summary

The Program Associate is a dynamic position with a variety of responsibilities. The incumbent reports to the Assistant Director of Continuing Education and collaborates with Senior Program Managers on continuing education programs. Duties include administrative and programmatic support to plan, execute, and evaluate ongoing programs while building relationships with prospective learners. Additional responsibilities include report development, virtual and hybrid program execution, and ongoing learner recruitment. The Program Associate will also be given a small portfolio of continuing education programs that support the ongoing mission of the Georgia Center. The Program Associate position is the first in a series of program coordinator positions leading to clear advancement opportunities within the Georgia Center's division of continuing education.

  • Advanced computer literacy skills including but not limited to MS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS) and Customer Relationship Management software

  • Comfortable communicating in a hybrid environment including but not limited to TEAMS, Zoom Meeting

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced work environment

  • Ability to use discretion with confidential information

  • Ability to use independent judgment

  • Working knowledge of office practices and procedures

  • Ability to travel

  • Assist program leads with the planning and execution of the Center's academic youth competitions, income tax programs, Advanced Placement Summer Institute series, and the administrative professionals day conference.

Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage a strategic set of continuing education programs to ensure successful courses that provide quality educational experience and positive revenue stream.

Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of the Georgia Center's virtual and hybrid activities.

Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including:

  • Report preparation

  • Communicating with learners

  • Working with other UGA departments to help ensure smooth departmental program operations

Percentage of time 10 Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiatives in support of the Georgia Center and the University as a whole.
