Work Location: Libertas Center for Human Rights, Elmhurst Hospital
PURPOSE: The Department of Emergency Medicine Research Division at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Libertas Center for Human Rights at Elmhurst Hospital seek a motivated, resourceful and flexible individual to join our team.
Responsibilities
Research/Quality Assurance (QA) Related Responsibilities:
Review and abstract data from electronic medical records
Enter, clean and manage data
Assist in the preparation and submission of reports
Client Services Responsibilities:
Assist the Libertas Center team to ensure that the medical, mental health, social and legal needs of survivors of torture are being met in a comprehensive and efficient manner
Assist with maintaining electronic patient charts
Administrative Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to program and clinical staff
Assist in the preparation of reports to funding agencies
Develop and maintain program database including entering client data
Prepare and process check requests, purchase orders, travel requests and travel reimbursement
Assist with tracking and maintaining program budgets
Perform other special projects or other duties as requested
Development & Communications Responsibilities:
Enhance organizational fundraising and communications strategies
Cultivate new funding opportunities focused on individual, foundation and corporate funders, as well as federal, state and local government opportunities
Plan and execute annual reports and fundraising events
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts or Science
Experience in human rights, domestic violence, mental health, or immigration direct services
Strong computer skills with proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office, and EMR systems
Strength and effectiveness in writing and interpersonal communication
Familiarity with REDCap or willingness to learn
Cultural competence and professionalism and ability to preserve confidentiality

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $20 - $35.8 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
