Summary:

The Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) at Rollins College is seeking a part-time Program Assistant, Leadership & Campus Initiatives! The CLCE Program Assistant will be immersed in hands-on experiences that focus on both academic and student affairs, as it relates to Leadership Development and Campus Engagement. The Leadership & Campus Initiatives Program Assistant creates intentional intersections between leadership experiences and practical application in addition to crafting opportunities for all students to engage on-campus through leadership facilitations/activities/experiences as well as supports large-scale campus initiatives.

  • Serve as the Staff Advisor for Student Leadership Coordinators

  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Leadership Coordinators

  • Assist in developing a student-led, semester long curriculum to engage their peers looking to learn leadership competencies and skills

  • Serve as the Co-Advisor of the Emerging Leadership Institute (ELI)

  • Attend up to two off-campus, weekend Emerging Leadership Institute(s) including all Pre & Post Trip Meetings

  • Guide student leaders in their roles and responsibilities as ELI facilitators

  • Assist in developing a weekend leadership curriculum, recruiting participants, acquiring signed waivers, securing lodging, transportation, meals, supplies, etc.

  • Serve as the lead for planning and implementation of CLCE larger campus events and initiatives including, but not limited to:

  • Join the Crew

  • Community Partner Fair & Changemaker Day

  • Community Common Hour

  • Leadershape: Catalyst

  • CLCE support person for larger campus-wide partnership events & initiatives including, but not limited to: Gateway & Path Integration, Giving Week, Senior week, Fairs and tabling events

  • Assist in the facilitation of CLCE Led leadership development trainings, workshops, and initiatives for student, staff, and faculty

  • Serve as administrative lead for all personality inventories facilitated through CLCE

  • Gather materials, promote events to the campus, and assess learning outcomes/program quality

  • Assess learning outcomes and program quality using Qualtrics assessment tool

  • Plan and implement the Rita Bornstein Student Leadership Speaker Series

  • Collaborate with key campus partners to bring in a diverse set of guest speakers that connects with the student population

  • Plan and solidify all partnership events

  • Keep track of all required budget reporting and post-event reflections

  • Assist in the design and implementation of campus collaborative Leadership Menu initiative.

  • Partner collaboratively with other members of the Rollins campus

  • Build out and refine a workflow management system (Kualibuild)

  • Manage Leadership Coordinators

  • Create workshops and host trainings

  • Serve as the CLCE staff advisor for August Leadership Education and Development programming for all returning CLCE Student Leaders

  • Track attendance and serve as point of contact for 40 CLCE students leaders

  • Host sessions related to general office knowledge and maintain student schedules

  • Assist in booking spaces, acquiring supplies, compiling resources, etc

  • Serve as staff lead on the organization of Student Leadership Conference Experiences

  • Serve as office support to the Student Support Foundation, a student led-grant funded philanthropic organization

  • Assist in the management of Tars Pantry

  • Research and develop a philanthropic training series for the organization to ensure members are using best practices of the philanthropic process

  • Co-Lead the Rollins Relief Program

  • Remain up to date on current events impacting our local communities and beyond

  • Craft campus-wide emails to inform the Rollins Community of current events and resources

  • Participate in one (1) professional development opportunity to attend

  • General Office Expectations

  • Maintain Outlook calendar and respond to emails in a timely, professional manner

  • Serve as a mentor and resource to all students across campus

  • Represent CLCE at campus events

  • Assess CLCE programming and complete grant reports

  • Familiarize yourself with CE Best Practices and Leadership Development theories

  • Become well-versed in the Strategic Vision of the College, currently focused on 1) Global Challenges and Solutions and 2) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

  • Facilitate at least one immersion experience

  • Conduct and/or attend Community Partner site visit(s)

  • Attend all CLCE Team meetings and retreats (including student retreats)

  • Familiarize yourself with Givepulse and GetInvolved

  • Trained and approved driving a 15 Passenger Mini-Bus

  • Attend "All Hands-on Deck" campus-wide events (may fall on evenings/weekends

  • Effectively utilize Office 365, Adobe Creative programs, Teams, Canva, MyRollins, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid driver's license, or ability to obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of accepting the job, and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Position Information:

Employment Dates: July 15, 2024 - May 31, 2025 (start and end date flexible)

Work Schedule: The Program Assistant is scheduled to work approximately 30 hours per week (five of these hours will be spent meeting with student organizations) and for a total of or fewer than 1,000 hours per year. The schedule will depend on availability and department needs with the ability to work flexible hours.

Pay Rate: Rollins offers a competitive hourly rate and there are no benefits associated with this position.

Work Environment:

  • Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in fast-paced and high-energy work environment.

  • Work may require some visual strain.
