Job Responsibilities

The person in this position will work for the Summer Break Café (South Carolina's Summer Food Service Program) in the Office of Health and Nutrition. Assist program staff with reviewing, processing, and approving sponsor/site applications, advance payment requests, reimbursement claims, and related administrative support functions received from organizations and school food authorities that are operating the Summer Break Café.

Assist program staff with annual sponsor training, site training, technical assistance, sponsor and site monitoring activities. Review activities and all other state and federal level requirements. Support marketing and outreach activities to increase program participation.

Assist with providing United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) with site location data, collect data for program improvement, as well as other data functions to meet state and federal reporting requirements. Work with program staff to evaluate and improve the program's processes, procedures, and operations. Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located in the Office of Health and Nutrition.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and related program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

Preferred Qualifications

An associate degree and at least one year experience working in a Federal, State, or local community outreach program.
