Duties
Provides information for decision making and resource planning for Connected Care programs.
Analyzes statistical and demographic data to support program development and to aid in the establishment of goals and objectives.
Provides technical support and participation in the integration and testing of Telehealth or similar networks.
Schedules and provides technology maintenance, readiness, and downtime.
Serves as a resource to off-site technicians and Information Technology (IT) staff providing guidance, support, planning, and consultative services.
Prepares and tracks maintenance work orders, information systems, inventory records, and communicates with the Information Technology (IT) or Office of Connected Care Help Desk (OCCHD) to facilitate troubleshooting, repair, and coordination of replacement equipment as necessary.
Develops and coordinates a wide variety of standard operating procedures with full and complete technical advice for Telehealth or similar technologies to ensure they are secured, ready for use within required/established timeframes and accounted for.
Applies analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Telehealth and Connected Care equipment in relation to program operations.
Knows the theories and principles of management and organization including administrative practices and procedures common to organizations.
Serves as a point of contact and resources for equipment and software, providing the desired information or directing users to the appropriate resource.
Identifies issues, quickly analyzes problems, advising and instructing support staff concerning such matters as directives, reports, correspondences, and data collection procedures to a variety of diverse individuals.
Acts as a liaison for OIT and Biomedical Engineering in set up, testing, etc. of equipment.
Identifies, selects, and approves appropriate software types (spreadsheets, database, word processing, etc.) to meet program needs based on an understanding of the functional capabilities and limitations of each, and the similarities, differences, and integration of the software types.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/09/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.

Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Performs general administrative duties as assigned by management. This grade level will serve in a developmental assignment to provide the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the full range of duties as described in the target position description.

Physical Requirements: Physical demands include above average ability, dexterity, and strength to perform the work. There will be walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, carrying of items, driving of an automobile, etc. Sits or stands for most of a normal tour of duty. Will lift and move equipment up to 20 pounds and will reach above shoulder level for technology installation or in assistance with technology installation. Fieldwork may involve travel for training activities, attendance at meetings and conference.
