Program Analyst Intern (Summer 2024 - Edgewood, MD)

Job Description

As a Smiths Detection intern, you will have the opportunity to be working side-by-side with highly skilled individuals dedicated to making the world a safer place through technology innovations. Our intern assignments are designed to allow you to experience, first-hand, the type of work we do within Smiths Detection. As an intern, you can make an impact on the business as well as continue to build your analytical, technical and leadership skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

The selected intern will working with a Program Manager (or Supervisor) and will:

• Develop/maintain methods for tracking and reporting program status and contract deliverables

• Provide support in creating / modifying procedures and or processes

• Provide support to Program Management team to include assisting in project scheduling and coordination

• Provide support to Program Management team by collecting, analyzing and reporting on program costs and schedule metrics

The Individual

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree-track undergraduate or graduate student in Business Management or Engineering discipline

• Experience with the Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Sound communication skills (written and verbal)

• Inquisitiveness and a desire to learn and apply newfound knowledge

Eligibility Requirements:

• You must be 18 years or older

• You must be willing to work in an office in Edgewood, MD

• You must be willing to take and pass a drug test as part of the selection process

• You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
