Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree
Familiarity with USDA ARS and accompanying data management programs,
processes, and community of support for sourcing data to be used in the role.
Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
National Pathogen Inventory Software and Processes
Duties:
The incumbent will address specific data management responsibilities, including
the collection, collation, and organization of material in support of the
National Pathogen Inventory process(es). The incumbent will utilize prior
experience and background to allow for independent, self-directed workflow on
the assigned project components. The assignment will include work with SBU
(sensitive but unclassified) or CUI (controlled unclassified information)
information using a dedicated, secure computer housed within the George
Washington Carver Center. The incumbent will have access to an internet linked
computer for communications and search capabilities in fulfilment of the
project. The incumbent is expected to establish projected timelines in
communication with the supervisor and communicate project progress to their
supervisor on a periodic basis. The incumbent communicates with applicable
National Program Leaders and Program Analysts when necessary to address
questions, challenges, and any issues that arise. NEW Solutions is proud to

The incumbent will use project management software loaded on a secured
computer to enter, classification, organization, and verification data for the
National Pathogen Inventory annual records requirements. The incumbent will
conduct internet search and direct communications with laboratories and
scientists in the process of populating the National Pathogen
Inventory. 100%
