Class Summary

Program Analyst II

This position works on a team responsible for administering and maintaining information systems used by the Facility Operations Division. Current systems include Maximo (CMMS), WebSphere, CentralPoint (digital experience platform), eLogger (plant operations management system), and HachWIMS.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to supporting projects, implementing solutions, system configuration, upgrades, data updates and loading, system support, error resolution, end user support, training, and workflow documentation. The position will work with other team members to improve the end user experience and utilization of the systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enjoy working on a team, two years' experience supporting systems and users, and two years' of auditing or data analyst experience.

Program Analyst II Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration,Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field.

  • Two years of professional auditing or data analyst experience, including one year of project management experience.

  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Valid Driver's License.

The Grade for this position is C43(1). Salary $65,871.00-$76,575.00

Program Analyst III

This position works with a team responsible for administering and maintaining information systems used by the Facility Operations Division. Current systems include Maximo (CMMS), WebSphere, CentralPoint (digital experience platform), eLogger (plant operations management system), and HachWIMS.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to applying patches and performing system upgrades, creating custom fields and templates, managing projects, researching/implementing new solutions, system configuration, data updates and loading, system support, error resolution, and end user support, training, and documentation. The position may supervise staff and perform annual employee evaluations. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enjoy working on a team, five years' experience supporting systems and end users; and three years' experience as a system administrator, integrator, or project manager.

Program Analyst III Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field;

  • Five years of professional auditing or analyst experience, including three years of project management experience;

  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job;

  • Valid Driver's License.

The Grade for this position is C44(1). Salary $71,634.00-$83,275.00

The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is a publicly-owned utility, committed to providing excellent water, waste water and storm water services at the best possible value to the citizens of Gwinnett County. The department is widely recognized for service excellence in the operation of 2 water production facilities, 3 water reclamation facilities and 226 pump stations.

In addition, DWR maintains 3,667 miles of water lines, 2,654 miles of sewer lines and 1,325 miles of storm water pipe. Each department is run by a director who is charged with managing operations in a manner which stresses the County's values.

In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law. In Gwinnett, they include the Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, District Attorney, Solicitor, Probate Court Judge, and Chief Magistrate.
