Program Analyst

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain an active Public Trust clearance.

Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Program Analyst to support the Office of Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. The Program Analyst will report directly to the Program Manager. The Program Analyst will provide administrative oversight and meet regularly to lead the design of the meeting management, project management, and communication frameworks. The Program Analyst will also support implementation processes, compliance procedures, and execution of federal governance directives, operational policies, and budget formulation and execution.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Analyst:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Program Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Respond to inquiries, correspondence, and reporting requirements, and provide technical assistance preparing for meetings and presentations.

  • Develop program updates, reviews, and other program reporting requirements.

  • Attends Tasking Meetings at various levels of the organization to ensure directed tasks are captured, distributed, and tracked to response closure.

  • Monitor mailbox and triage for response, file, archive, and perform general mailbox maintenance.

  • Oversees presentation updates for various program delivery & daily operational updates.

  • Responds to customer service questions as required.

  • Engages with OCOO as required to review taskings & other program oversight needs.

  • Updates various systems used for the routing of requirements (SharePoint, Outlook, etc.

  • Assist with taking notes for meetings as needed.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Program Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Four to six years of experience serving as an analyst in planning, developing, coordinating, and conducting analyses for operational efficiencies/inefficiencies, program-related trends, and effectiveness in achieving goals, objectives, and milestones.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Strong writing and analytical skills, ability to think critically, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently to assess priorities and coordinate daily requirements.

  • Experience identifying complex cross-cutting areas of program requirements and needs to address significant organizational concerns.

  • Experience providing advice and preparing and presenting controversial reports on the program's status to senior management officials.

  • Experience conducting detailed analyses of functions and work processes and presenting recommendations for improvements and corrective action desired.

  • Experience with data analysis software and the Microsoft 365 Suite including, but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Power Apps, Power Bi, and SharePoint.

  • U.S. Citizenship.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
