What you need to qualify

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program

OR

Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

Your duties at a glance

Technical Consultation and Advice

  • Prepares position papers and presents them to Executive

Staff providing consultation and recommendations on all

aspects of YEHP and legislative investments

implementation and service

Program and Policy Development:

  • Participates in developing statewide program directions

within the parameters set by the Department's

administration while meeting state/federal requirements and

legislative intent.

Training

  • Provides consultation on the development of training

materials; reviews and revises training materials; and

provides training as appropriate.

Program Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Lead the development and allocation of moneys to YEHP

grantees based on legislatively approved budget.

Program Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Responsible for leading and participating in work group or

task force with ODHS programs, youth, other agencies,

community partners and Rural Community

providers.

Systems Development

  • Provides functional direction and overall monitoring of the

primary computer systems to ensure that these systems

provide the maximum possible support for the program

operations and objectives. This requires in-depth

knowledge of how the systems operate and interact.

Working conditions

This position is in Salem but provides central office support and coordination for contracted services statewide. This position works in a professional environment. This position includes a great deal of analysis and problem-solving and may have to work with multiple partners who have conflicting priorities and requirements. The work schedule may include some non-traditional work hours in the evening and weekends. Travel, overnight stays and working after normal work hours is sometimes required.
