The purpose of this position is to help coordinate volunteers for services related to picking up Miami Valley Meals, coordinating the pick up and delivery of food for the Food Pantry, doing weekly ordering for the Food Bank, as well as providing assistance gathering other food items for the pantry. The position will also help and assist with food pantry front desk needs and duties as well as help out at the front desk in the Counseling and Accessibility Services office to greet students, answer phones, schedule appointments, and other administrative duties as assigned. The position also participates in the management and monitoring of a variety of databases that support, drive and track student success.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.94 per hour with a maximum of 28 hours per week.

Principal Accountabilities
Coordinate volunteers for pantry and Miami Valley Meals pickups, weekly meetings to place orders from Food Bank, picking up and/or delivering items from the Food Bank, assisting at the front desk of the pantry and assisting with campus donation pickups, strong customer service and/or student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success. Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported.
Provide front-line customer service support and coordination of students in various emotional states at the Food Pantry and Counseling and Accessibility Services offices.
Channel telephone and in-person contacts with students and staff with professionalism and a high level of customer service at office and pantry.
Assist in entering and retrieving computerized student information and participate in training sessions related to database management systems and customer service as required. Assist students with AIM portal to complete services application and to assist in requesting accommodations through the portal.
Maintain manual and electronic filing systems with high degree of accuracy.
Coordinate, monitor, and schedule appointments of Counseling and Accessibility professional staff, and training professional staff on front desk procedures.
Assist students in making connections with counselor driven referrals to college and community resources.
Follow-up calls to students to assist in reminders of appointments or need for additional information. Assists with surveys for assessment of service learning outcomes and satisfaction of services to assist in effective and efficient services for Counseling and Accessibility Services.
Participate in committees and events to promote Sinclair's mission and strategic initiatives of equity, growth and alignment through development of programming and facilitation of round-tables, club advising, and mentorship.
Schedules and assists in facilitation of accommodated testing that requires a distraction reduced environment within the accessibility office testing rooms.
Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in related field preferred
Minimum of 2 year of related office or clerical work experience required
Experience working with diverse populations preferred
Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office products required
High level of organization, time management, and coordination skills required.
Strong professional written and verbal communication skills to include proper telephone etiquette and document preparation required
Strong customer service and/or student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the desire to identify and support student success required
