Program Advisor Intern (Part-time)

Summary of

Responsibilities:

Sales Key Responsibilities

  • Assists International Program Advisor with advising customers on products and services.
  • Responds to phone and web-based inquiries via e-mail, telephone, chat, and/or in-person.
  • Works within marketing automation platform and CRM to keep database clean and up to date.
  • Helps track and report on lead and pipeline volume, outreach activities, and conversion.

Customer Service Key Responsibilities

  • Assists the International Admissions Advisor with responding to customer service inquiries, including helping to troubleshoot issues submitted from students enrolled in online courses.

Enrollment Key Responsibilities

  • Helps the International Admissions Advisor process enrollments and confirmations for all teacher-training courses and teach/study abroad programs following enrollment policies, procedures and checklists.
  • Assists with creating, updating and sending prepare-to-go materials to enrollees.
  • Processes and mails certificates to Bridge graduates.

Experience

  • Current university students working toward a 4-year degree or recent graduates. Business and Communication majors encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 1 year of B2C sales or customer service experience
  • Experience traveling, studying or teaching abroad (preferred).

This part-time collegiate internship aims to provide meaningful experience in the areas of training, learning and employee development, to students with proven academic performance and a strong desire to learn and contribute. The CDOT OED team coordinates training and learning for employees across the state. This includes: delivering leadership training; managing the required supervisor training curriculum; organizing IT and technical training; leading SAP training; managing and growing a curriculum of practical/job-related training; leading the Transportation Engineering Training Program (TETP); coordinating National Highway Institute (NHI) training for the engineering division; overseeing required compliance training (e.g., cyber security, HR legal and policy), administering the statewide learning management system (LMS); running reports in the LMS; partnering with the Department of Personnel & Administration (DPA) on related and complementary training offerings; and administering the CDOT tuition and certification reimbursement program. Major duties and responsibilities: The internship will serve an important role in helping coordinate training and learning. Key duties include: * Tuition and certification reimbursement program: Learn the program and process; receive employee request for reimbursement; process and track requests * Learning management system (LMS): Learn the CDOT LMS and serve as an administrator, which includes: managing courses; scheduling and monitoring classes: supporting instructors; recording learning after classes are held; producing a wide variety of reports from the system and formatting them for customers; and more Training administrative support: Support trainers with various tasks, such as: pulling and sending training materials; communication with regional staff in support of training duties, helping maintain the training storage areas; reviewing training materials (e.g., editorial review); and so forthAdditional duties for this internship (based on applicant's skills and interests as well as on office's needs) will include: * E-Learning and Technical Training: Test e-Learning; participate in development and design reviews; help test e-Learning for content quality, usability and functionality; and build and test data for technical training classes * Virtual/Brown Bags: Support efforts to launch virtual brown bag program using Adobe Connect technology * National Highway Institute Training: Assist with coordination and scheduling of training for classes requested through these programs * Training: From time to time, attend training classes led by OED instructors, shadowing trainers and assisting with some training delivery as appropriate * Instructional design: Using adult learning models, help create hands-on or problem-based learning for practical skills training. * Training tool development: Help create tutorials, how-to instructions and practical training tools that the workforce needs. * Other job duties as assigned Work Environment: * Expected work schedule is between Monday through Friday * It is anticipated that this role will work approximately 30 hours per week * Ability to work in an active, collaborative, team-oriented environment is a must * Use a computer to accomplish everyday work duties * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
