General Summary/Purpose:
The WSE Manufacturing facility has an upcoming opening for a Sr. Program Coordinator to support the growth and effectiveness of existing and newly expanded areas of Manufacturing. This position provides project and administrative support in its professional machine and self-service machine labs. Additionally, this role will support the newly renovated Maker Space in the Remington area, maintain a new biometric billing system in the self-service labs and kick off of redesigned Manufacturing course labs. The SPC works closely with fellow Manufacturing staff, as well as faculty, students and outside affiliates to highlight the full capacities of the professional shop, self-service labs and new Maker Space. This position will manage projects within all capacities of Manufacturing.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Maker Space
Assist with coordinating move, set-up and maintenance of new Maker Space in the Remington neighborhood.
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with various outside vendors.
Plan vendor workshops show casing products and ideas.
Along with WSE manager, trainer and machinists, create and implement procedures for Maker Space for faculty, student and staff use.
Recruit and manage teaching assistants for area.
Manage inventory and order consumables throughout year.
Develop relationships with external vendors and manage projects for outsourced work and components.
Manage costs and turnaround times for tickets to meet customer deadlines.
Collaborate with WSE finance office on monitoring and managing monthly expenses/budget.
Evaluate and implement business practices and procedures to support the day-to-day operations of WSE Manufacturing.
Process and manage all equipment and consumable orders for machine shop including equipment and maintenance.
Complete monthly procurement card allocations for department.
Assist with development of renovations in manufacturing area.
Manage and handle new customers, expenses, orders, and requests through university SAP system.
Recruit and manage all teaching assistants and summer help for department.
Maintain an efficient and effective electronic filing system for all department contacts, finances and correspondence.
Administer set up of external customers who utilize professional shop. Complete external billing and tax submittal.
Meet regularly with department staff on operation, machine, Maker Space, course or personnel updates.
Train new staff when appropriate and provide tours of manufacturing areas when needed.
Billing & Software
Provide monthly supervision and processing and tracking of machine shop billing.
Oversee the operation of new biometric software in student shop currently on Lathe and Mill.
Create and manage with WSE staff new operating procedures for new billing software.
Work with students and faculty on adding their credentials and budget information in new software to enable access to student shop Mill and Lathe.
Develop plan to slowing integrate new software into each self-service machine over the next three years.
Resolve and provide support to financial analysts on service center charges.
Communicate quarterly with ME faculty regarding self-service machine usage from labs, introduction of new labs and discontinued labs.
Instruct students on proper protocol to follow to register for machine training.
Manufacturing Course Work
Provide instructional support for any courses that are directly related to Manufacturing.
Create working template and course outline for teaching staff to use and revise in each individual lab as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Bachelors degree required.
2 years of project management experience in support of academic, business, research and/or development activities.
Additional education may be substituted for experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on a wide variety of special projects and assignments.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Manage projects from initiation to close.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to be proactive and maintain realistic balance among multiple priorities.
Communicate clearly and tactfully.

Develop and manage administrative projects (SAP reports, workflow, records control, course material).
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:
Microsoft Office suite proficiency required.
SAP experience.
Stay updated on university procedural changes as well as SAP updates.

Some lifting for items under 20 lbs.; material handling

This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the MSFP and federal Title X Family Planning program to develop and implement new initiatives, programs, or systems of care in the area of maternal and child health and reproductive health. This position provides leadership to 1) develop and implement new program and service initiatives, programs and/or systems of care in the area of reproductive health, 2) provide education, training, and technical assistance, and, 3) perform research, assessment, and analysis of data. This position manages the administration and oversight of selected grants, contracts, and interagency agreements. This position serves as the Manager of clinical and professional staff supporting the MSFP/ Title X program, working under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field. Experience: Six years professional experience in health services, three of which must have been in professional clinical or administrative services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Addictions, and four of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level. Notes: 1. Applicants may substitute a master's or Doctoral degree in a health or human services field for up to two years of the required general experience. 2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree. 3.
