On Lok Lifeways pioneered the model of care known as "Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly" or PACE. Institute on Aging operates a PACE Center in the Richmond District of San Francisco. IOA's PACE Center is a lively place where participants have access to medical care, social activities, exercise and meals. IOA's PACE staff are sensitive to the needs and changes of each participant's health and emotional state. PACE allows seniors who are ill or disabled to live in their own home, whether home is a family residence, apartment, retirement village or hotel room. Participants attend our PACE Center one to five days a week, based on the team's recommendations and the senior's needs and interests.
The Lifeways-PACE Department is seeking a Program Administrative Assistant to join its team in San Francisco's Inner Richmond neighborhood. Reporting to the Senior Director, PACE, the Program Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the Senior Director and IOA Lifeways Program by performing administrative duties related to planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing PACE operations.
Support the Senior Director and Leadership Team in scheduling and organizing meetings with internal colleagues and external partners.
Ensure compliance requirements are met in training, emergency planning, and employee qualifications. Monitor and track these requirements for nearly 200 employees.
Support New Hire Orientation and assist with scheduling as needed.
Schedule, coordinate, and document staff training including CPR, BLS, annual mandatory training per regulatory requirements, competencies, and other training, as indicated.
Assist Senior Director and Quality Improvement Associate in audit readiness and ongoing monitoring tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
One-year experience working with older adults.
Strong knowledge in information systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint programs, and voicemail.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, takes initiative, upholds high professional and quality standards.
Able to work independently, prioritize appropriately, and work in an organized manner.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Have a good understanding and knowledge of the requirements of the PACE Lifeways program as well as the structure and functions of the department
Ability to work within the interdisciplinary team to support efforts of PACE.
Ability to structure and conduct audits and chart reviews for both staff and participants.
Cultural competency and the interest and ability to work within a multilingual, multicultural environment.
Ability to act as an advocate for frail elders.
Ability to lift 35 lbs. and transfer up to 75 lbs.
Ability to reach, bend and walk.
