Professor Of Practice, Radiation Therapy PT

The Frances M. Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions at Gwynedd Mercy University invites applications for a part-time faculty position within the Radiation Therapy Program. This is a part-time, nine-month faculty position starting in July 2024. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience.

Responsibilities: The part-time faculty member will work closely with the Program Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator of the Radiation Therapy Program to teach and facilitate programmatic operations. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the Program Coordinator to assure effective program operations.

• Assist in conducting structured visits to clinical sites where students are assigned for clinical education.

• Be prepared to teach, prepare course outlines, and evaluate student progress in programmatic course(s).

• Participate in periodic review and revision of course materials.

• Participate in the accreditation and assessment process.

• Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.

• Keep up to date with professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.

• Maintain appropriate expertise and competence in the professional discipline.

• Attend Program and Frances M. Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions meetings.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred.

• A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiation therapy is required.

• Minimum of two (2) years' clinical experience in the discipline.

• Proficiency in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
