About the Role:

Reporting directly to our Senior Geospatial Leader, you will apply your strong technical abilities and effective communication skills to fill a diverse position as a licensed surveyor with an emphasis on airborne LiDAR project management.You will work with various team members to create flight plans, schedule flights, plan out-of-town logistics, manage airborne survey projects, create final survey reports, and assist in data processing as needed.

You will partner with clients, vendors, and various other team members and stakeholders to see projects through to completion.You will be our brand ambassador, passionately representing our company both internally and externally, while collaborating extensively with your team to achieve your own, your teams and the companys targets and objectives.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Plan and ensure the execution of airborne surveys and related deliverables
  • Provide project management for airborne LIDAR and mapping projects.
  • Assist VP of Geospatial Services with business development, client management and preparation of proposals.
  • Create airborne survey reports (signed and sealed).
  • Assist with processing data and verify the accuracy and sufficiency of collected data.
  • Utilize Civil3D, Terrascan, and other industry-related software as needed to complete projects.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in surveying and mapping field from an accredited four (4) year college or university recognized by the Florida Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers and possess a Florida Surveyor and Mappers license (or have the ability to gain Florida licensure).
  • Minimum of four years experience in responsible charge of all aspects of surveying and mapping.
  • Minimum of two years experience with airborne and/or mobile LiDAR.
  • Extensive knowledge of survey principles and practices, as well as the principles and practices of photogrammetric mapping, LiDAR and other remote sensing, along with project management.
  • Proficient with various survey- and LiDAR-related software.
  • Proficient with coordinate transformations.
  • A valid Florida driver's license and driving record acceptable to our company insurance provider is a condition of initial and continued employment.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and obey safety regulations at all times.
  • Must be highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines on a timely basis, and have the ability to work both as an individual contributor and within a team environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
