Excellent interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors, and other hospital employees.
Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven organization.
Strong familiarity with competency-based curriculum for residency training.
A Geriatric Attending provides comprehensive primary medical services to the elderlies and senior patients with multiple medical problems and chronic illnesses. Focuses primarily on quality of life and functional ability issues. Makes determination on the patient's ability to live medically safe alone and counsel them on alternative living arrangements. Provides counseling to patients and families on end of life care. Utilizes evidence-based diagnosis and treatment guidelines to provide the highest quality of care to children and adolescent patients of The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Opportunity to perform Hospitalist responsibilities.
The physician will provide care to patients with Geriatric related medical conditions in the Hospital's Ambulatory sites, the Physician Pavilion and the inpatient service.
