Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an Accredited University
One (1) year of relevant work experience
Clinical and teaching experience in an inpatient healthcare environment including experience in both large academic medical center and community hospital environments -- HIGHLY PREFERRED.
New York State Licensed Physician
Maintain active privileges at The Brooklyn Hospital Center
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Board Certified in Rheumatology
Credentialed or eligible to be credentialed in the Medicaid Program in New York.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Excellent interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors, and other hospital employees.
Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven organization.
Strong familiarity with competency-based curriculum for residency training.
The Rheumatologist is responsible for clinical, academic, quality assurance, patient safety, risk management and other related activities in the Division of Rheumatology. Provides care to patients with rheumatology related medical conditions in the Hospital's Ambulatory sites, the Physician Pavilion and the inpatient service. Participate in teaching medical students and residents in the Department of Medicine. Perform such other additional duties for the Department and for the Hospital, as requested by the Chair.
