The challenge

The Adobe Global Services team is seeking a new Professional Services Account Executive to join the team and help grow the Services business within a set territory. The success of this role will be determined by the PS AE's ability to uncover, define, and close strategic projects with valued customers within the Adobe Enterprise business unit. This role will interact strategically with the Field Sales team to identify, cultivate and close on new business. This is a quota-carrying Consulting Sales role.

This role is to ideally be staffed on the west coast or central US (Dallas/Denver/Chicago).

What you'll do

  • Adobe PS AEs fulfill the role of trusted advisor through their ability to leverage the extended Adobe team to develop strategic opportunities with our Customers.

  • The PS AE is the primary sales liaison within our delivery team and owns the development and management of Customer relationships within an assigned vertical all while working in tight coordination with License Field Sales teams.

  • PS AEs maintain effective relationships with Operations personnel, Consulting and PMO leadership and personnel; and, align to company as well as the client's practices and goals.

What you need to succeed

  • 5 7 years prior experience in an enterprise level software consulting or services sales role; this includes proven track record for attaining and exceeding annual quota. Knowledge of enterprise software development lifecycle, from a services selling standpoint, is essential. Digital Marketing industry experience is helpful, as is knowledge of SaaS and Cloud-based offerings. Knowledge of large, global field organizations required.

  • Ability to rapidly assess Customer environments from a business process, organizational and technological perspective, and effectively communicate opportunities for growth.

  • Experience working within matrixed teams to identify, document and close consulting engagements that leverage an enterprise level SaaS offering.

  • Ability to collaborate with Adobe software sales to build and execute complex account strategies and sales plays.

  • Nurture and develop strong relationships with existing Customers and extend reach within their organizations.

  • Ability to anticipate problems and recommend innovative solutions; achieve customer satisfaction through the sale of sound consulting projects.

  • Act as a point of escalation for Customers and License Sales on delivery issues and work with Consulting Leadership to find appropriate resolution.

  • Excellent team building, verbal and written communication skills as well as reporting and presentation expertise.

  • Bachelor Degree strongly preferred.

  • Up to 25% travel.

In this key project and customer facing role, you are responsible for delivering complete technical solutions for the customer by leveraging a systematic process of requirements gathering, mapping business requirements to technical requirements and ultimately the overall design of the customer solution. You will partner with other member of our PS team (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers), with product management, engineering, sales and account management to ensure customer success. Impact you will make in the role: * Participate as a trusted technical expert in pre-sales and implementation of the Sugar solution * Lead solution design and architecture as a key member of the Professional Services team * Effectively communicate design and architecture to customer and project team members * Be the project CTO, responsible for all technical decisions related to the Sugar product in a customer environment * Works closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts in capturing, defining and solutioning requirements * Balance customer requirements with supportability of design and solution. Ability to work with the customer and project team to come up with designs that will meet customer needs but also allows for supportability * Responsible for implementation effort estimation * Write code to implement certain complex designs * Lead project development team through design and continue to support and provide oversight of technical development effort * Contributor to requirements and design output – responsible for systems architecture, technical requirements and technical design content * Work with Product Management to consider roadmap functionality as part of the design Ideally you will bring: You should be passionate, self-motivated with a proven track record in CRM technologies (or similar), enterprise environments and comfortable in the dynamic fast paced environment. You should be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities. You should understand how to design a redundant / high availability architecture and how to work with development teams to implement an architecture to match your designs. Expertise you will bring in: * MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math * 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or professional services * A natural self-starter, motivated and passionate about technology and customer success * Strong process thinking and ability to synthesize thoughts into a presentable manner * Ability to be hands-on but yet comfortable leading technology solutioning effort * Advanced experience with enterprise CRM configurations and custom development * Experience and comfortable working with offshore development teams; experience working with global project teams * Agile development experience * Extensive experience with frameworks such as Backbone, AJAX, etc. * Experience architecting complex solutions involving CRM, ERP, CPQ, middleware, enterprise marketing, product catalog, MDM, etc. * Experience with enterprise integration and best practices. Hands-on experience working with integration tools and in data loading and transformation * Experience scaling complex solutions * Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs and best practices with SugarCRM * Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints * Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities * Good understanding of container-based architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
