Role:

The Services Product, Strategy, and Technical Content team ensures the Splunk Services organization, as well as our external services delivery partners, are prepared to deliver world-class services through tailored go to market products, up-to-the-minute product enablement, and the most efficient systems. Splunk consultants tackle organizations' most meaningful problems, including the ones they didn't know existed. Splunkers are self-motivated, have an insatiable thirst to learn new technologies and thrive in a dynamic environment. Successful Splunk consultants feel comfortable mastering new technologies from business, analytic and technology backgrounds. Splunk is looking to grow the foundation of its Professional Services team to support our mission of delivering high value solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal delivery teams to bring new products to market, including marketing documentation, SKU creation, pricing, and field education, as well as adjusting and/or course correction based on data obtained using internal systems metrics to monitor adoption.

  • Work proactively with internal teams to ensure delivery processes are tied in to our internal systems for efficient and expert delivery.

  • Work with Channel and Partner teams to align complimentary offerings designed to further Customer Success.

  • Maintain relationships with select partners to create targeted vertical delivery offerings.

  • Develop and deliver technical enablement for the Splunk's Professional Services organization.

  • Collaborate across the entire Splunk organization to bring access to product and technical teams, to get the right solution delivered.

  • Work closely with internal teams and market to ensure we aligned with GTM products and services, working proactively to prepare for any new integrations.

  • Maintain communication channels for effective information distribution to both internal and external delivery partners.

  • Professional Services coordination lead for yearly customer and internal sales conferences.

  • Ability to demonstrate your previous experiences, share standard methodologies, and build creative solutions to support Services' Product, Strategy and Technical Content team's priorities and initiatives.

  • Help shape the future of Splunk Professional Services by implementing and adhering to industry standards and best practices, using the latest industry research.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of direct Splunk solutions implementation consultation, advising, consulting, or similar experience encompassing an array of implementations of the product and/or large, complex installations. In-depth familiarity with Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk IT Service Intelligence, User Behavioral Analytics, Phantom, and/or VictorOps. Experience integrating new technology teams into an existing organization a plus.

  • Experience working with and guiding geographically distributed and culturally diverse delivery teams.

  • Ability to listen and collaborate with audiences ranging from engineers to executive level partners to help develop successful solutions.

  • Passion for creative solutions and a demonstrated ability to collaborate both internally and externally to develop new solutions and partnerships to advance both Splunk and our customers' success.

  • Ability to perform analysis, development, and implementation of policies, standards and guidelines.

  • Proactive nature to keep our team one step ahead of what's needed next in our fast-paced, rapid-growth environment.

  • Salesforce.com experience in dashboarding and data analysis a plus.

  • Self-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work closely with both customers and fellow Splunkers.

  • You are well organized with a consistent sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet deadlines with opposing priorities.

  • Travel is required up to 50%, possibly more.

  • Excellent presentation skills, able to communicate with internal and external customers, as well as the ability to educate those with less specific knowledge of the topic at hand to improve understanding and gain consensus.

  • Excellent written communication skills to convey concepts for both technical and non-technical topics.

  • The ability to think with "re-use in mind", identifying and creating solutions and processes which can be reproduced supporting consistent customer experiences and customer success.

Department 80647 Procurement Services About the Unit Procurement Services provides integrated solutions to enhance the University's Procure-to-Pay experience. This includes establishing contracts, creating purchase orders and administering the credit card program, travel services and other specialized campus programs. The Procurement Category Lead – Professional Services leads the University's procurement strategies for the acquisition of Professional Services in a cost effective and timely manner. This role is tasked with executing the Strategic Sourcing, Contract Administration and Buying initiatives for the expenditures and suppliers within this category space. This position is supported by a Senior Buyer role that reports into the Procurement Category Lead. Job Family Financial Management Responsible for accounting, budgets and financial controls, payroll, purchasing, risk management, and treasury for the University. Sets financial strategy that impacts University functions such as grant awards, clinical research, and investments of capital. Career Track and Job Level Procurement Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use.
