The Business Analyst interfaces and collaborates with other teams including but not limited to Implementation Project Management, Sales, Account Management, Product, and Engineering.


  • Gather and analyze client requirements and develop a scope of work to communicate expectations and timelines

  • Align client needs with product, engineering and product operations team goals

  • Identify problematic areas with the data and research and work with engineering to determine the best course of action to correct the data

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions

  • Document client requirements, use cases, and process improvements workflows

  • Lead and participate in client-facing and internal meetings, such as scoping sessions and project kickoffs

  • Configure new and existing client accounts in a rules-based system

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a software or technology environment such as software development, systems analysis, or database administration

  • Working skills with RDBMS and the ability to prepare SQL. NoSQL/MongoDB skills a plus

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify appropriate analytical approaches based on the client request or business need

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and provide validation of results

  • Balance multiple, competing priorities effectively, track documentation and deliverables in an organized manner

  • Strong aptitude for learning new platforms and processes effectively

  • Solid understanding of systems and applications such as UI, data flows, API and release cycles

  • Ability to work/communicate with Database Administrators and Software Developers

  • Ability to read and understand complex requirements documents, identify gaps and capture one-off use cases

  • Deliver customer requests on time and deliver high quality solutions

  • Ability to think and operate in a logical manner, break down processes and investigate issues by asking the right questions to determine potential solutions

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Information Systems or similar degree from an accredited institution. Business majors with combination of certifications and/or experience are acceptable

  • Knowledge and experience in:

  • SaaS, ERP platforms

  • Data Modeling

  • Agile Methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)

  • Ticket Tracking Systems (JIRA)

  • SDLC

  • MS Excel skills a plus

Working Conditions:

  • The job may require flexibility with regards to scheduling days, hours, and work location (including some remote work), depending on business needs.

  • The environment is fast-paced, ever changing. This individual must possess the skills to react quickly, establish and re-establish priorities and communicate with professionalism.

  • May require up to 10% travel to attend meetings and training.

Title: PS Consultant III Location: Atlanta, GA Grade: 11 Position Summary The Technical Consultant role focuses on activities such as evaluating, designing, constructing, integrating, unit testing, trouble-shooting and supporting software solutions based on business and operational requirements in a variety of customer-facing and internal business scenarios, associated with NCR's financial software for ATMs and cash recyclers. Upon achieving a fundamental knowledge of NCR's software solutions, candidates will specialize into areas focusing on multi-vendor platforms, security, manageability, performance, consumer flow, transactions, maintenance (supervisor) operations and message formats. Focus on specializations will rotate periodically to create a well-rounded perspective and a deeper set of capabilities. Candidates must work to anticipate internal and external client needs and have an overriding commitment to client satisfaction. As well, incumbents must be able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change. Travel will be required throughout the US. The candidate should anticipate travel requirements of between 25-50 percent of their time. This will typically translate into few trips, for up to 2 weeks at a time. Sporadic international travel should be expected to Toronto, Canada and Scotland. Upon being hired, you should expect that training will include trips to Ohio, Toronto, and Scotland for several weeks at a time. Development skills and capabilities are a prerequisite asset however this role is not a full-time development role. Some shift work may be required. Key Areas of Responsibility Design, Development and Integration * Convert requirements to functional requirements to develop software code that is accessible, usable, efficient, re-usable, cost effective, maintainable, reliable and installable. * Designing and modeling program/code for an integrated software product or system that supports re-use, change and integration of various components. * Constructing software, which meet requirements, promotes re-use of software components, and facilitates ease of support. * Conducting unit tests, tracking problems, and implementing changes to ensure adherence to test plan and functional requirements * Diagnosing, isolating, and implementing remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code, using knowledge of system characteristics and utilizing software based system maintenance and tracking tools. * Perform functional analysis of requirements to determine estimates of resources (people and equipment), size of the software products, efforts, schedules and critical computer resources. * Establish acceptance criteria and quality goals * Provides estimates, goals, standards, constraints and dependencies as input to the SOW and the software development plan Support QA in the end-to-end testing process for software under your stewardship: * design & development of appropriate test cases: what and how to test * document changes in software * lead analysis and resolution of software issues reported during testing Acceptance/Certificaton & Pilot Support * Preparation of software for distribution to customers or networks * Ensure installability through software distribution, full bare-metal installation, local updates * Support field organization as require during lab installations, certifications, training * Lead analysis and resolve software issues found during customer acceptance testing Production Support * Support/resolution of production issues forwarded by Level 3 Support including the creation of a hot fix as well as executing integration test prior to delivering to QA.
