Description: Assist in the design and coordination of roadway projects for government agencies such as:

City, County and NDDOT; Preparing, reading and analyzing construction plans and technical documents and work with design software packages; Specific tasks that you will perform include design calculations, quantity, and cost estimates, developing design specifications, alignment and profile design, and plan preparation; You will learn the industry by attending client meetings and taking meeting minutes. The position is based out of and reports to WSB's offices in Minneapolis, but allows telecommuting from home office in Twin Cities metro area up to two days a week.

Requirements:

Requires at least a U.S. bachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least 1 year of experience as a project, transportation, or graduate engineer.

Position also requires at least 1 year of experience with the following:

• Preparing, reading and analyzing construction plans and technical documents

• Working with design software packages including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS excel, and MS word

• Design software such as MicroStation

• Developing engineering estimates on projects through data collection and analysis

• Referencing design standards to incorporate into project development

• Coordinating project tasks between graduate level engineers

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid MN driver's license. The position is based out of and reports to WSB's offices in Minneapolis, but allows telecommuting from home office in Twin Cities metro area up to two days a week. #LI-DNI
