Job Description:

As a Professional Engineer - Civil working out of our Staten Island, NY office, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and designers, you will leverage your expertise to deliver sustainable and cost-effective solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the community.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the civil engineering design process for site development, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess site conditions, regulatory requirements, and project constraints.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Design site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, utilities, and roadways in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to evaluate stormwater management strategies and mitigate flood risks.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Review and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members, interns, and field personnel.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to address concerns and facilitate project progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York.
• Familiarity with New York City Department of Buildings required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including site development, grading, drainage, and utility design.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
