Essential Job Functions

  • Develops and maintains account/region standards and procedures to ensure that configuration management controls are capable of supporting deployment activities and implementations to meet business needs. Identifies issues, recommends revisions and escalates as appropriate.

  • Interprets configuration management activities and tools as defined for the account and applies them to project activities. Works with the project manager to develop configuration management plans, milestones, and schedules for projects. Suggests alternatives as appropriate.

  • Decomposes configuration items into appropriate configuration units to define the technical components required to satisfy the specified requirements of the project or tasks.

  • Ensures version control integrity for software and non-software components by establishing permissions and protecting environments for code libraries.

  • Audits configuration management activities by validating results against the baseline. Reports findings to project manager, recommending revisions as appropriate.

  • Develops technical installation guidelines and other documentation of hardware and software standards to facilitate tracking. Assists customers and support personnel in understanding product configuration.

  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or related field preferred

  • Three or more years of configuration analysis experience

  • Experience working with distributed computer systems, software and associated communication networks

  • Experience working with networking principles and local area networks

  • Experience working with company software and hardware products

Other Qualifications

  • Good skills in configuring and installing various operating systems and application software

  • Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and support personnel

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to resolve technological problems

  • Basic leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Back to Job Navigation (Rewards) Responsibilities As a Configuration and Data Management Analyst II, you will be supporting engineering programs to manage and control configurations and baselines, and ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process. Other job requirements will include managing plans, reports and coordinating activities concerned with document and data control, product and documentation configuration management, and engineering change status. The chosen candidate will interface with all engineering disciplines and program management. The candidate must be a flexible team player with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a diverse environment. Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include: * Control configuration of baselines through Configuration Control Boards. * Monitor the incorporation of configuration change items. * Following established Configuration Management principles and processes, such as configuration control, identification, data management (library/repository), product release and delivery, and configuration audits. * Responsible for ensuring that all required deliverable and non-deliverable contract data are properly identified, scheduled, marked, reviewed, approved, submitted, and accepted. * Responsible for ensuring that all program-related information is effectively stored and controlled throughout the contract lifecycle including digital files and work products. * Participate in audits of CM activities to verify compliance with established CM procedures and standards * Collaborates across the Program Management Office (PMO) proactively managing CM risks, opportunities, and overall deliverables. Security Clearance & Other Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a government DoD Secret security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
