About the Position: The Infrastructure Processor Business Unit (IPBU) at Marvell designs and develops industry leading SoCs for wired and wireless infrastructure, leveraging IPBU's core competencies of multi-core scaling, hardware acceleration (ex. packet and security), baseband design, software toolkits and reference enablement to provide scalable architectures and solutions that meet the compute, data-plane and baseband demands of network infrastructure such as enterprise APs, SMB, routers, switches, edge compute, core routers, firewalls, and macro/micro base stations. As a member of a dynamic NPI product development team, the candidate will be responsible for basic ATE test program development, characterization of new products, and yield/failure pareto report generation. The member will also have an opportunity to work with various teams to auto generate key reports.

  • Understanding standard end to end yield reporting formats

  • Understanding basic ATE test program structure and flow

  • Understanding basic production flow for processor products

  • Understanding basic fault, test coverage, and yield models

  • Generate yield/failure pareto reporting for new products

  • Develop scripts using Perl, Python, to parse raw test data

  • Automate generation of key weekly yield reports

  • Perform characterization on new products and generate standard characterization reports

    Minimum Qualifications:
    - Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a BS/MS (preferred) degree in EE or related technical field(s) - Have taken classes on basic electrical circuits theory and programming language (C/C++) - 0-1 years of previous experience

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuing BS/MS in EE and good verbal and written communication skills

  • Good understanding of Perl script writing techniques

  • Strong Programming Skills in C/C++, in a Unix type environment, with good problem solving skills

  • Experience working on ATE test platforms is a strong plus

POSITION SUMMARY: We seek an intern who is actively enrolled as a full time student pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, MEMS, Physics, Semiconductors, or a related field, at a four-year university. This intern will work with a cross functional team that interacts across different areas to test and characterize our MEMS based print heads KNOWLEDGE: Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships SUPERVISION: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Identify and develop testing procedures and protocols necessary for the successful testing and characterization of MEMS-based inkjet printheads. * Develop tooling and machinery required to complete testing. * Analysis of test data and recommendations for improvement in printhead design and manufacture. * Will assist other engineers in design of high precision tooling used in the manufacture of MEMS-based inkjet printheads. * Use good problem solving and project management skills to solve the wide array of technical product problems. * Communicate especially well and motivate others outside and inside the department to resolve problems and accomplish work through various company resources. * Organize technical problem solving strategies clearly and present them effectively to all concerned parties. * Use statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DoE), and yield data to help resolve or correct all identified problems.
