Production/Receiving Associate 1

What you will do as a Production/Receiving Associate:

As a Receiving Specialist, you will work closely the production, purchasing, and shipping teams to support company success by efficiently and effectively receiving incoming production materials and stocking items. This position is pivotal to our business process and plays an important role of ensuring we have the materials and products needed to maintain our daily work flows. The key to success as a Receiving Specialist is the ability to work independently and in an organized manner to keep materials moving through the required check progresses, communicate issues concerns, with others, and strong attention to detail in a high variation of material business . Overall, the Receiving will unload materials, compare identifying information of incoming receipts against bills of laiding, invoices, POs, Etc, electronically capture receiving in our ERP system, complete discrepancy reports, provide work material to production, segregate shipments which require quality control inspection.

Key Responsibilities for Receiving Specialist:

• Maintains the daily workflow of receiving and reports any problems or difficulties encountered in daily operation.

• Unloads materials from freight trucks.

• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming receipts to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, or other records.

• Unpacks and examines incoming materials, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and issue MDR to purchasing.

• Verifies received materials against purchase order requirements.

• Electronically receives shipments using ERP.

• Segregate's shipments that require Quality Control inspection.

• Completes material discrepancy reports for shipments that do not meet purchase order requirements.

• Barcodes all materials used in fabrication with required corresponding sales order information.

• Supplies packing lists, purchase orders, material discrepancies reports, and material test reports to documentation.

• Prepares material returns for shipment to vendor.

• Provides daily work materials to production.

• Fulfills fabrication material requests from inventory.

• Involved in monthly and annual inventory counts.

Required Education and/or Experience for Production/Receiving Associate:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 2-3 years previous experience in a production environment with material handling/receiving

• Forklift experience preferred, ability to operate and become forklift certified required.

• Strong addition to detail, ability to perform simple math functions quickly,

• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and thinking ahead

• Ability to work and operate using the AMETEK core values of teamwork, respect for the individual, ethics and integrity, Inclusion and Social Responsibility

• Fluency with basic computer programs such as Microsoft office Outlook, Excel, and Word, and ability to use our ERP system Navision.
