Learn more atwww.westrock.com. A Production Associate would fill-in as needed for extra person to feed Flexo'sor Die Cutters, or to stack, behind Flexo's or Die Cutters.
ProductionAssociates are also used to fill-in on various miscellaneous Finishingequipment. Both positions are critical and essential to theoperation of a corrugated box plant. Product must be placed or stacked onpallets weighing on an average of approximately 55 pounds.
Feeding orstacking of the product is a repetitive process and requires reaching fromabove shoulder level to bending and picking up from the pallet at floor level. "Handfuls" will weigh an average of 15-20 pounds. These jobsrequire standing, walking, lifting, bending, and crouching. Jobs areperformed by one person for each position.
Customer requirements foreach job are written on factory work sheets with specific instructions. Production performed must be written on production reports. Employeesmust be able to read instructions and write information in English.
During the interview, each applicant will be given examples to read andexplain. Employees are trained in the proper methods and safety areas of each job. They are then expected to meet production standards of equipment.
Whilebeing trained, employees are on a probationary status. Employees whocannot perform the job would reduce productivity of equipment, resulting inmissed delivery commitments and loss of customers. If unable to meet theabove standards, employees would be disqualified.
These jobs are continuous over an eight (8) hour shift. A regularschedule would be five (5) days aweek, with a sixth (6th) day of overtime being normal eight months out of theyear. Employees are required to work any of the three (3)shifts.
