The Plant Nutrient Group formulates, stores, and distributes nutrient, specialty, and industrial inputs and corncob based products through our strategically located facilities and extensive network.

We are hiring a Production Worker for our Mocksville, NC production and packaging facility. This location currently works Monday

  • Thursday 10 hours a day so you'll have weekends off! (Some overtime may be necessary at time depending on production needs). We offer competitive pay ($14 - $16/hour DOE) plus benefits including 401K match!

Position Overview

This position is responsible for activities associated with the receiving, storage, handling, packaging, shipping and application of raw materials, products, goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance and active participation in all relevant safety and environmental programs

  • Receives, stores, cares for, processes, packages, distributes and applies products and services within the facility or customers location to include housekeeping and upkeep

  • Performs basic quality inspections and records operational data

  • Perform accurate input duties using company operating systems and programs

  • Operates and maintains various types of mobile and fixed equipment

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Has developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience

  • Works within established procedures

  • Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • 1-2 years' relevant experience required

  • Previous forklift experience preferred

  • Experience with automated equipment preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds

  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 130 feet

  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: * : Coordinates with Supervisor in assigning work to meet on time production and quality goals. * : Controls the workflow within the area of responsibility to meet efficiency targets, minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Ensures run order for line. * : Requires the ability to train people and serve as a coach to Team Members. Perform On-the-job training and line and production orientation for new hires. * : Records accurate data on production, labor, team members, and scrap on a timely basis. Follows up with team members on accurate production reporting. Completes shift paper work. * : Ensures accuracy of inventory and inventory management. * : Required to ensure all purchased and manufactured material are available when needed to meet production goals * : Works with Maintenance, and Manufacturing personnel to provide information on matters relative to machine downtime * : Ensures safety best practices are followed by Team Members at all times. * : Ensure all quality standard for the production area are being met * : Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, have the ability to articulate ideas, and point out areas where improvement is needed, as well as the ability to develop a positive relationship with employees in order to develop credibility.
