This 1st shift position has a flexible part-time schedule between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We pay a competitive hourly wage of $11/hour and offer great benefits.

Aptiv, established in 1976 as Riverfront Activity Center, was the idea of three friends from the community of La Crosse, WI to develop one nonprofit organization that supported individuals with disabilities in all three primary needs--social, employment, and independent living. In the fall of 2017, we revealed a new name, new identity and a new brand ' Aptiv ' a positive blend of the words live, aptitude, active, and adaptive. Today, we support more than 1,700 people with disabilities through eight locations and across 42 counties in the state of Wisconsin.

As a Production Worker, you arrive on time for each shift armed with energy, wit, and the willingness to pitch in with the team. Most of your time is spent on product assembly and safely operating equipment.

You take instructions from your supervisor to ensure that your work meets quality control levels. Your other responsibilities include collating, sorting, packing, and more. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you are able to excel with minimal direction.

Every member of our assembly team is a key contributor to our success by focusing on maintaining the highest quality, solid teamwork, and continuous improvement of the assembly processes. You love that you get to perform a wide range of duties throughout your day, so you are never bored. Each day is an adventure because no two days are the same in this exciting, fast-paced assembly position.

Key Responsibilities * Accepts donations by greeting the customer and assisting them as needed with bringing the donations in the door * Treat donated items with respect and show appreciation to the customer * Offer Donation Receipt and distribute Donation Coupons when applicable * Cycle full Dandux (bins) of donations in First In- First Out order * Proficiently pre-sort Dandux of donations * Keep donation door neat/clean/organized * Quality sort and price in one department/category * Work with leader to determine what is needed on the floor/merchandising * Request more material or product to keep production flowing * Dump trash carts when full * Ticket pre-priced new goods * Assist with customer carryouts * Store Recovery Education, Skills and Experience * Customer service skills * Willingness to jump in and help where needed * Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred * At least a basic level of competency with computers to complete e-learning opportunities and utilize organization's intranet * Experience in operating a power pallet jack, power stacker, pallet jack, flatbed, Tilt Master, dolly, tilt truck, Gaylord (large box) banding equipment or compactor is preferred The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
