Job Summary:

A clean-room/contamination control background is a plus, but not necessary. If you are highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and want to establish a career with an industry leader in a growing market, then we want to hear from you!!

Responsibilities:

  • Sort articles by item and material type.

  • Gown in clean-room garments with a minimum of a hood, coverall, boots and gloves.

  • Follow best practices for clean-room environments.

  • Weigh articles, load articles into washer, start washer.

  • Remove clean, wet articles from washer and place them into dryers for measured time cycles.

  • Turn/right articles as necessary in preparation of packaging. Inspect for damage.

  • Mend torn/damaged articles as necessary.

  • Bundle/package articles to in accordance with work order requirements.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of twothreesyllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver mail, packages, copy products and stationary to assigned group/location per daily schedule. Ensure that all packages received/delivered are shipped and/or delivered same day, or alternatively consignee with be advised of next day delivery. Check daily and replenish, if necessary, all mail and postage supplies. Audit delivered items with delivery invoices. Approve or reject deliveries based on inspections. Check for contraband. Ensure all shipped packages are adequately protected against damage. Process shipment request with vendor, advising package owner of arrangements. Apply appropriate postage amounts and required identification to outgoing mail and packages. Stock copy rooms and provide first response for copier fleet production needs such as clearing jams (no tool repairs) and determining if a technician is needed. May perform other duties to include but not limited to monitoring on-line production/copy requests, setup of conference rooms for client meetings, and answer telephones in a professional manner, direct calls, and take messages. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
