CorDx is at the cutting edge of technology, artificial intelligence, and data science with the goal of delivering diagnostic solutions to some of the most critical questions in healthcare.  Position Summary: CorDx is currently looking for a highly motivated Production Technician/Research Associate to join our R&D scientific team as a key member in developing IVD point-of-care immunoassays for rapid detection of infectious pathogens. The selected candidate will be part of an innovative and interdisciplinary team, with an opportunity to learn about in vitro diagnostics product design, development, manufacture, and commercialization processes in an industry setting. The position is a technical role reporting to the team’s lead scientist and R&D manager.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing daily experiments needed for all aspects of lateral flow assay production under the supervision of the team technical leads and senior scientists.
  • Supporting lab functions such as organization, inventory, equipment QC, and preparation of buffers and reagents.
  • Assisting with other tasks as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in good lab techniques, organizational and documentation practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to design and experimental changes.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience handling clinical biological samples such as urine, swabs, saliva, and blood.

Work Environment Information:

  • Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2) and a humidity-controlled environment.
  • Requires good vision, hand coordination, and attention to detail for the production and inspection of lateral flow assay products.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 30lbs with assistance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
