We are actively recruiting for a Production Assembly Technician on day shift. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime, as business requires.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow written electronic assembly, quality, and safety procedures to assemble electro-mechanical assemblies. Expected to cross train into other work groups. Other duties as assigned.

• Production work, high repetition, small builds of same or similar products, build times minutes to hours in length.

• Possess steadiness of hand for handling of very small mechanical parts and delicate electronics during mechanical assembly (M2, M3 screws).

• Use of hand torque drivers (22.5 inoz

• 8 in lbs) and other hand tools, fixtures for alignment and installation of components, pneumatic adhesive application tool.

• Some work under magnification tool including microscope.

• Load firmware onto circuit boards.

• Clearly and legibly complete all required written documentation.

• Navigate company computer network to access online work instructions, applications, and software. Enter data into spreadsheets.

• Follow required protocols of working in an ESD protected area.

• Follow required protocols of working in a Clean Room environment; Class 10,000.

• Follow required protocols and PPE required when working in an LED Ultra-Violet light; UVA, UVB, UVC, Near Infrared (NIR) production environment.

• Follow required Safety protocols.

• Solvent and chemical odors may be present.

• Constant noise present: ear protection required in some areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A key member of the Manufacturing Team. Safety focused with an eye for possible threats and opportunities to keep the work area safe.

• Detail focused with personal commitment to daily quality of work. Has eye for details, accuracy, and uses high level of care while handling product and during data entry.

• Works with desire to meet process time expectations and makes effort to improve output through daily continual improvement of skill, understanding of product and process.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet company goals.

• Use good written and verbal communication skills in English to update product repair forms, make entries into computer database.

• Experienced with MS Office products, basic computer skills, experience using software interfaces.

• Electronic assembly experience preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent degree desired.

• Color recognition required.

• Read, write, and speak fluent English.

• Lift 25 pounds unassisted.
