Production Technician - LOG (Usa)

Objective / Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to shuttle dry vans and roll off containers on property. To receive, unload, load, move, weigh, stack, and stage materials using a forklift or skid steer. Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

Equipment Operation:

• Proficient use of a yard-spotter/mule to move dry vans to and from docks and designated loading areas on site.

• Proficient use of a roll off truck to stage roll off containers on site for material processing and equipment dispatch.

• Unload product by operating a forklift or skid steer while using appropriate handling and safety techniques.

• Load hoppers with material from lanes by using a skid steer.

• Segregate material using a forklift or skid steer, weigh, label, check and stage inbound material correctly.

• Perform daily equipment inspections.

Warehouse Operation:

• Set-up supplies needed to prepare hopper for loading.

• Maintain good housekeeping.

• Perform visual inspection of inbound material to ensure proper receipt and handling.

• Record and label inbound product.

Safety & Quality Compliance:

• Perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed.

• Adhere to all Company and OSHA rules and regulations.

• Identify and report damages.

• Perform all tasks accurately, timely, and safely.

• Report overages/shortages or quality deficiencies.

• Other duties as assigned by the Operations & Warehouse Managers.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications

• Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent - required

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in similar scope of responsibility - preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of forklift, roll off truck, yard spotter/mule - required

• Skid steer experience - preferred

• Valid state issued Driver License.

• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

• Ability to work respectfully in a team environment.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.

• This job primarily operates in an open truck court and warehouse setting.

• Qualified candidate must be able to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

• Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

• All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your manager immediately.

• Ability to safely enter and exit a commercial vehicle.

• Occasionally sitting on a powered industrial truck such as forklifts or skid steers.

• Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods of time.

• Climb on and off equipment repeatedly.

• Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
