This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church.
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, and in compliance with Welfare Services' policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible to assist in general labor activities to meet the assigned production plan and is to assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary facility. The incumbent's duties include: assisting on packaging lines, operating minor packaging equipment, stacking products on pallets, assisting Lead Technicians in preparing packaging lines for daily production runs, cleaning the facility throughout, and in detail, assisting Production Technician 2 in assignments.
AA or 2 years formal technical training preferred
0-2 years related work experience
Able to learn principles of GMP and quality control standards
Must display required interpersonal skills that reflect Welfare Services policies, and the image of the Church
Physically capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing in position for extended periods of time.
60% Provide assistance on packaging lines to meet production plan
20% Provide assistance in maintaining sanitation and safety standards of the facility
10% Assists in preparing packaging lines for daily production runs to ensure GMP and quality control standards are met
10% Will receive special assignments from the supervisor to do general tasks
