Carpenter Additive Powder, a Carpenter Technology company, is a global leader in the manufacture and supply of high-quality, gas atomized spherical metal powders that offer a superior homogenous, fine, and super clean microstructure. This location is home to the new superalloy powder facility dedicated to producing high quality aerospace quality powder and powders specifically designed for Additive Manufacturing applications.



  • The Production Technician will be assigned to various positions and shifts within an operating department based on functional needs and the department based on functional needs and the department's requirements. Assignments may vary from material handling, production process support/assistant, and entry-level type work.

  • Production Technicians will be required to qualify on multiple positions within a department and rotate through those positions according to operating needs. Assignments will be primary equipment operation and ownership of the process associated with that operation.

  • Production Technicians are expected to foster a safe, reliable, and cost-effective production environment enabling the concepts of lean manufacturing.

  • Takes personal ownership for working safely and motivates others to maintain a safe work environment. Self-motivated, comfortable working as a team player in a lean environment.

  • Operates various pieces of mill equipment, mobile equipment, overhead cranes, material handling devices, chains, slings, simple hand tools, saws and cut-off devices, power actuated banding and bundling tools, etc.

  • Monitors, oversees, and operates computer controlled manufacturing systems, production reporting systems, and computer/HMI systems.

  • Inspects, cleans, and performs basic preventative maintenance on process equipment.

  • Support the plant with overtime as required and willingness to work a rotating shift.

  • Perform other duties as needed in support of the plant.


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience in an industrial operations/manufacturing environment is preferable, but not required

  • Must meet company requirements for fall protection

  • Selected applicants will be required to score a minimum level of 4 on the following Work Keys Assessments: Workplace Documents, Applied Math, and Graphic Literacy and score a minimum level of 60% on a basic computer literacy assessment. These assessments will be scheduled and paid for through Carpenter Technology Corporation

  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office

  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills and attention to detail/accuracy

VIEW JOBS 4/17/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-16T00:00 Description: As a Polaris Technician, this individual is tasked with performing part updates and rework on new and gently used vehicles to ensure the vehicle has the production parts and the current software package. The work within the Companys programs varies from heavy repairs to light repair and frequently includes software flashing. Additionally, this position will require tearing down and fitting body and trim panels for paint and building up of fresh painted vehicles. The Polaris Technician is also tasked with maintaining proper documentation and process while following procedures. Essential Job Functions: * Read service procedures as written by the OEM service engineers * Access and utilize OEM systems for software flashing, labor guides, service procedures * Evaluate repairs and diagnose issues when repairing a vehicle * Possess complete variety of automotive tools and some specialty tools * Eye for inspecting incoming and outgoing vehicles * Test drive skills and functionality vehicle tests * Ability to document any additional issues found and inform the Team Leader/Manager in a timely manner * Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with client team * Ability to work independently and off-site with minimal resources in a variety of conditions * Maintain a clean work station and work environment Qualifications: * Valid drivers license * Possess 3 or more current State or ASE certifications * Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed * Basic skills with computer operation and applications Requires the Following Skills: * Must be able to multi-task while ensuring follow up and execution of required tasks * High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment * Oral and written communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email and written means Lifting Requirements: * 10 50 lbs.
