Job Title: Production Technician 3 Second Shift

Wilmington, MA location

Primary Responsibility:

Responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.

Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Requires soldering skills and possibly mechanical aptitude skills.

As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Senior Level (3):

Skill: Has substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

Job Complexity: Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

Experience & Education: Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems.

Ability to read complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of testing and measuring instruments. An AA degree, military technical training or equivalent vocational training is required. Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.

About This Role We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for: A Senior Production Control Analyst ensures that material is accounted for, stocked and distributed in a compliant nature. The position works with the management team to ensure that production schedules are supported, and that material is handled compliantly. * Serve as the local Point of Contact for the team to support the Sr. Manager, Production Control and Logistics. * Act as the primary point of contact for DCMA and DCAA in matters related to FAR 52.245-1 and DFARS 252.242-7000. * Responsible for inbound and outbound material movement (Textron Property and Government Property) including: receiving, stocking, kitting, internal distribution, and shipping. * Responsible for receiving, stocking, distributing, and shipping material (both Textron Property and Government Property) in accordance with company polices and procedures. * Responsible for recommending and implementing corrective action needed to desired inventory accuracy levels and adherence with regulatory requirements. * Responsible for issuing, researching and closing work orders as required. * Act as subject matter expert for problem resolution relating to material expediting issues and material loss issues (both Textron Property and Government Property). * Participate and present in meetings to management and regulatory agencies. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management. Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Preferred Master's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. Position Requirements: * Seven plus years of production control/planning or scheduling, manufacturing or inventory/warehousing control experience. * Strong written and verbal communications skills required. * Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. * Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently (able to multi-task) to meet changing deadlines. * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of multi-level Bill of Material Structure. * Proficient in MS Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.). * Proficient in Oracle preferred * Demonstrated analytical and attention to detail skills. * Strong knowledge of FAR 52.245-1 and DFARS 252.242-7000 strongly preferred.
